Mulan

Mulan (1998)

Here is a worksheet that students can do about the movie “Mulan” from 1998. This Disney movie, as everybody already knows, is great. Students always enjoy watching it. The lyrics to one of the songs (“I’ll make a man out of you”) is already in the worksheet, but it’s definitely worth it to print the lyrics to all the songs and have a sing along!

In addition to a fill-in-the-blank exercise for “I’ll make a man out of you,” the worksheet contains comprehension questions for the whole movie that students can answer as they watch the movie to enhance their listening.

Home

Home (2015)

Home is a fun animated Dreamworks movie about cartoon aliens called the Gorg and the Boov. You can assign this movie to your students as homework or you can watch it as a class for a “movie day.” The following worksheet about the movie involves some simple quote matching, basic comprehension questions, and a few questions to answer after the movie. A discussion can be had about these last questions in class.

Home is a perfect movie for a younger TEFL class or for a class that’s young at heart. However, do remind students that because the Boov are aliens, their speech is not always grammatically correct. As a bonus, you can ask students to point out some of the Boovs’ grammatical mistakes throughout the movie.
