Worksheet #1

Here is a basic worksheet that helps students practice the difference between the two tenses. They can drill different irregular verbs and practice their skills by correcting mistakes.

Worksheet #2

This worksheet focuses on question making and on speaking skills. Students will be given this worksheet, and they must ask the questions to one of their classmates. They then must write the answers down. As an optional task, the second page asks the students to write their own interview questions, and they can choose to interview the same student or somebody else.

Worksheet #3

This worksheet focuses on reading a story and then identifying past simple sentences and present perfect sentences. After the story, there are some comprehension questions about the story and students are asked to underline the sentences of each tense using different colors.

There is a practice page included as well where students can reinforce their learning by filling in the blanks using the correct tenses.
